There are at least three groups with the name “Le Mans"... 1. Le Mans from Spain formed in the Basque city of San Sebastian. The group was previously known as Aventuras de Kirlian but changed their name after being dropped by the Dro label due to poor sales. Throughout the 90’s Le Mans released a string of EP’s and albums on Spain’s Elefant label. Taking influence from nascent jangle-pop (particularly Felt), Young Marble Giants, Curtis Mayfield and Tamla Motown, their sound was avowedly anti-rock.
