Christian Gustavsson started his path on photography in his teens back home in the small town of Karlskoga, Värmland.
The combination of having a lot of friends playing in different bands and in need of press imageswith finding his fathers old Konica DSLR made Christians role clear with his friends, he was their designated photographer.
The coming years up to his early twenties were filled with different photoshoots with most of Karlskogas rock bands and every time they hade a live gig he would be there to document. At the same time he started working for the local newspaper as a reporter and photographer and from then he knew that a career as an photographer was something he wanted to pursue.
After studying Commercial and editorial photography in Gamleby for two years and having internships with some of the best photographers in Sweden he worked as an assistant for two more years in Stockholm.
Since then he’s been working with magazines, record labels, newspapers and commercial assignments where the people and the story is in focus.
His feel for natural looking portraits with a sense of sincerity is what usually makes his clients come back.
The ability to capture the essence of a feeling or an ambience in natural light is one of Christans best skills when doing a photoshoot.
Lately the focus has changed for Christian towards travel photography and being what he want’s to go for full heartedly.
Telling the story about a restaurant, place or people that have something to tell is where his passion lies now.
